In order to investigate the economical and educational conditions of the Indian Muslims, a committee was formed by the Government of India under the leadership of the Ex-Chief Justice Rajendra Sachar. In his November 2006 report, he revealed that the educational and economical condition of the Muslims of Haryana and Rajasthan states is worse than even those of Dalits who are considered most backward community of India. Sachar Committee in its report also made it clear that the conditions of the Muslims of Haryana and Rajasthan states are worse than those of the Dalits of Bihar state
